Dirt Field Technician

Terraline specializes in excavation, trenching, and underground utility infrastructure that supports reliable water and wastewater systems for communities and property owners throughout North Idaho.

Terraline works closely with our sister company Pumpline, providing the excavation, site preparation, and underground infrastructure required to install and maintain pump systems and utility services.

As a Field Dirt Technician at Terraline, your primary responsibility is to perform professional excavation, trenching, site preparation, and underground utility work that supports the installation and repair of water and wastewater systems.

You will operate equipment, prepare job sites, install underground infrastructure, and support technicians from Pumpline to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional craftsmanship.

It is your responsibility to approach every project with professionalism and a commitment to delivering reliable solutions to our valued customers.

WHAT WINNING LOOKS LIKE

Delivers ethical and practical solutions for everyday excavation and underground utility challenges.

Masters the FOM (Field Operations Manual) to understand responsibilities, equipment operation procedures, safety requirements, installation standards, and jobsite workflows.

Develops strong capabilities operating excavation equipment and performing site work with precision.

Continuously improves knowledge of soil conditions, trenching practices, compaction methods, drainage, and underground utility systems.

Works effectively with Pumpline technicians to support pump system installations and repairs.

Applies knowledge consistently while remaining committed to learning and improvement.

SKILLS NEEDED TO WIN

Use the appropriate tools, equipment, and resources to complete excavation and site work tasks safely and efficiently.

Understand soil behavior, trenching safety, drainage, compaction, and underground utility protection.

Operate excavation equipment safely and effectively.

Maintain strong organization and jobsite awareness.

Study provided materials and actively seek answers when unique jobsite conditions arise.

Demonstrate reliability, urgency, and attention to detail.

Work collaboratively with team members and support sister company crews when needed.

As a Pump Field Technician at Pumpline, your primary responsibility is to provide expert service and installation when working on projects for water and wastewater pumping systems. It is your responsibility to approach every situation with professionalism and strive to offer effective solutions to our valued customers.
